Former Thailand government prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has arrived in Montenegro according to Reuters.
While the current Thailand government would hope for extradition of Thaksin Shinawatra considering a recent Thai court decision to sentence Thaksin Shinawatra for corruption, Montenegrin officials have indicated that since Thaksin Shinawatra is a Montenegrin citizen they will take no action.
Thaksin Shinawatra is mostly known to live in Dubai and the announcement of his Montenegrin citizenship is somewhat of a surprise and is certainly disappointing to the Thailand government.
